Report: Beneil Dariush Facing Bobby Green At UFC 222

A lightweight division bout may be coming to the UFC 222 card according to the Orange County Register as #11 Beneil Dariush could be fighting Bobby Green.

Dariush (14-3-1) has won just two of his last four fights in the UFC, with that last victory coming over Rashid Magomedov at UFC Fight Night 98. Dariush has suffered all of his professional MMA defeats in the UFC, with two coming by KO/TKO and one coming by way of submission. Dariush has earned six of those fourteen wins as a pro by submission, but it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish in that manner.

Green (24-8-1) is coming off of his first win in well over three years and that came over Erik Koch at UFC On Fox 27. Green has earned a total of five wins in the UFC thus far, including a win over former Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh Thomson at UFC On Fox 12. Green is also a former King Of The Cage Lightweight Champion, defeating Dom O’Grady by unanimous decision in 2011.

UFC 222 takes place on Saturday, March 3 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
