Report: Beneil Dariush Faces Chris Gruetzemacher At UFC Fight Night Denver
A lightweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night Denver card according to MMA Junkie as Beneil Dariush is in action against Chris Gruetzemacher.
Dariush (14-4-1) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to the duo of Edson Barboza and Alexander Hernandez. Dariush hasn’t gotten a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Rashid Magomedov at UFC Fight Night 98. Dariush has seen six of his professional MMA bouts go the distance, with Dariush winning five of those encounters.
Gruetzemacher (14-3) has won just two of four bouts under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Joe Lauzon and Abner Lloveras. Gruetzemacher has seen his last three bouts end via either KO/TKO or submission and it has been almost three years since the fighter went the distance. Gruetzemacher also competed once in the World Series Of Fighting, defeating John Gunderson by unanimous decision at the WSOF 9.
