Report: Bellator MMA Signs Wyatt Barber
There is a new addition reportedly making his way to the Bellator MMA Featherweight Division as the promotion has signed Wyatt Barber to a contract.
ESPN first reported the signing, but the exact length of the contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal weren’t revealed at this time.
Barber (0-0-0) has yet to make his professional MMA debut, but the fighter made his amateur MMA debut last year at LFA 70 with a TKO victory over Julian Valencia. Barber was supposed to have a second amateur MMA bout in August of last year against John Walker at XFO: Outdoor War 15, but that fight wound up getting canceled for undisclosed reasons. Barber is the younger brother of Maycee Barber, who is currently ranked #9 in the UFC Women’s Flyweight Division.
No word has been given yet by Barber or Bellator MMA as to when the fighter is expected to make his promotional debut, but Barber does enter a weight class currently ruled by two division champion Patricio Pitbull.
