Report: Bellator MMA Signs Aaron Chalmers
There is a new addition to the Bellator MMA Welterweight Division according to the fighter himself as the promotion has inked Aaron Chalmers to a multi-fight deal, although no financial numbers were disclosed.
Chalmers has competed once already under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Ash Griffiths by first round submission at Bellator 200.
A newly signed Chalmers issued the following statement to The Sun about the signing:
“It’s a dream come true (to sign the deal). It was a long-winded process with BAMMA – it was haunting my career and I didn’t know why.”
The fighter had previously competed in the BAMMA promotion, having defeated the trio of Greg Jenkins, Alex Thompson and Karl Donaldson. Chalmers is a fighter who is also known for finishing fights, with none of his previous bouts getting past the opening round.
Outside of being a professional MMA fighter, an undefeated Chalmers is also a part of a reality TV show called the Geordie Shore, which is similar to the Jersey Shore reality program that airs on MTV. There is no word yet as to when Chalmers will make a return to the Bellator cage or whom that opponent is going to be when that happens.
