Report: Bellator 237 Draws Over 300,000 Viewers
Bellator MMA closed out 2019 with their debut in Japan with Bellator 237, with Fedor Emelianenko defeating Rampage Jackson by first round knockout in the main event.
The show, which aired live on the Paramount Network, brought in 311,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting.
Other bouts on the card saw Michael Chandler defeat Sidney Outlaw, Michael Page defeat Shinsho Anzai, Lorenz Larkin defeat Keita Nakamura, Kana Watanabe defeat Ilara Joanne and Goiti Yamauchi defeat Daron Cruickshank.
There was some stiff competition opposing Bellator 237 last Saturday Night, as an NCAA Football game featuring Ohio State against Clemson and a boxing match pitting Gervontis Davis against Yuriokis Gamboa aired opposite the event.
It is going to be a few more weeks until Bellator MMA makes their 2020 debut with Bellator 238, which features Julia Budd defending the women’s featherweight championship against Cyborg in the main event and that show will stream live on DAZN on Saturday, January 25. The UFC is back in action one week earlier with UFC 246, which features Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone in the main event position.
