A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 228 according to the Chico-Enterprise Record as Ava Knight is going to be in action against Shannon Goughary.
Knight (0-0-0) is going to be making both her Bellator MMA debut and professional MMA debut in this encounter. Knight has competed twenty times as a professional boxer, picking up a record of 14-2-4 in that time. Knight has picked up multiple titles as a professional boxer, including the IBF World Female Flyweight Title, WBC World Female Flyweight Title and WBC Silver Female Flyweight Title.
Goughary (3-3-0) is going to be making her Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so having won just one of the last four bouts. Goughary is going to be competing for the fourth time this year, making 2019 her most active year as a professional MMA fighter. Goughary has picked up three wins as a professional MMA fighter and two of those victories came by way of submission.
