Report: Antonio Jones Replaces Sean Clements At Bellator 233

Sean Clements has been pulled from Bellator 233 for undisclosed reasons according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN, replacing him against Kyle Crutchmer is Antonio Jones.

Crutchmer (4-0-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over a year. Crutchmer has competed three times in the Xtreme Fight Night promotion and two of those three wins came by a form of finish. Crutchmer has competed four times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those encounters went the distance.

Jones (6-3-0) is winless thus far in Bellator MMA competition, dropping a bout to Will Fleury via unanimous decision at Bellator 224. Jones also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, losing to Edmen Shahbazyan by first round TKO. Jones enters the bout riding a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t won a bout in almost two years. 

Bellator 233 takes place on Friday, November 8 from the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with John Salter and Costello Van Steenis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
