Report: Alexander Hernandez Faces Chris Gruetzemacher On October 31 UFC Card
A lightweight division attraction has been added to the October 31 UFC card as Alexander Hernandez faces Chris Gruetzemacher.
BJPenn.com first reported the bout.
Hernandez (11-3-0) has won three of five under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over Beneil Dariush, Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Francisco Trinaldo. Hernandez hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, as the win over the aforementioned Trinaldo came in July of 2019. Hernandez has competed 14 times as a professional MMA fighter and just six of those encounters went the distance.
Gruetzemacher (14-3-0) has won just one of his last three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Joe Lauzon at UFC 223. Gruetzemacher is competing for the first time in over two years, with his last bout happening in April of 2018. Gruetzemacher competed on the Ultimate Fighter 22, making it to the quarterfinals of the reality show before losing to Artem Lobov.
The October 31 UFC card will take place at a location to be announced with Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
