Report: Aleksei Oleinik vs. Mark Hunt Headlining UFC Fight Night Moscow

A heavyweight division affair could be headlining the upcoming UFC Fight Night Moscow card according to MMA Fighting as #6 Mark Hunt faces #9 Aleksei Oleinik.

Hunt (13-12-1-1NC) has won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Derrick Lewis at UFC Fight Night 110. Hunt is allegedly replacing former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum, who was recently notified of a potential suspension by USADA. Hunt has previously challenged for the UFC Interim Heavyweight Title, losing to Fabricio Werdum at UFC 180.

Oleinik (56-11-1) is going to be headlining his first ever UFC event, having been with the promotion for almost four years now. Oleinik has won a total of 44 professional MMA bouts by submission, with twelve of those coming by way of ezekial choke. Oleinik has seen just one of his bouts in the UFC go the distance and that was a loss to Daniel Omielanczuk at UFC Fight Night 91.

UFC Fight Night Moscow takes place on Saturday, September 15 from the Olimpiyskiy Arena in Moscow, Russia with Mark Hunt and Aleksei Oleinik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
