Report: Alan Jouban Facing Ben Saunders At UFC On Fox 28

A welterweight division affair could be added to the UFC On Fox 28 card as Alan Jouban could be seeing action against Ben Saunders.

Farah Hannoun first reported the potential bout.

Jouban (15-6-0) enters the bout in the midst of a two fight losing streak, with those losses coming to Gunnar Nelson and Niko Price. Jouban hasn’t won a fight in over a year, as that last win came over Mike Perry at UFC On Fox 22 in December of 2016. Jouban has previously challenged for the Resurrection Fighting Alliance Welterweight Title, losing to fellow UFC veteran Mike Rhodes at RFA 10.

Saunders (21-8-2) has won one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Court McGee at UFC Fight Night 103. Saunders has had a total of three different runs under the UFC banner, earning a record of 8-5-0 in those runs. Saunders also had a long run in Bellator MMA, earning a notable win over Luis Santos at Bellator 53.

UFC On Fox 28 takes place on Saturday, February 24 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
