Rafael Dos Anjos Wants UFC Welterweight Title Shot, Tyron Woodley Responds

Now that Rafael dos Anjos has beaten Neil Magny at UFC 215, his sights are set on current UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley.

At the UFC 215 post-fight press conference, dos Anjos said believes he could be next in line for a welterweight world title opportunity since most of the top fighters in the division have already lost to Woodley. Dos Anjos had been preparing for a fight against Woodley for quite some time now and is ready for him.

"The division is wide open. I'm a new blood in this division and I was ready to take the fight with Woodley if Demian Maia didn't take the fight, but he took the fight, but I was getting ready for it. I'm a former lightweight champion looking to become a two-division champion. My goal is to fight for the title," dos Anjos said.

When asked about what type of fight dos Anjos envisions against Woodley, dos Anjos says it would be a brawl if the two fighters met in the octagon.

"One thing I can be sure about is that we're going to fight. I'm not going to let him walk around and I'm going to make sure I push the pace," dos Anjos said.

It didn't take long for the champion to respond. Woodley, who worked for Fox Sports' UFC 215 coverage poked fun at dos Anjos wanting to take the UFC belt.

Even if dos Anjos doesn't get a UFC welterweight title shot next, he can certainly feel good about the fact that he won "Performance of the Night" honors and is now $50,000 richer thanks to his impressive win over Magny.
