Petr Yan Responds To Conor McGregor: ‘I Don’t Care About The Ruleset, I Bet You Won’t Show Up’
Another Conor McGregor Twitter war has commenced, this time with the usually subdued Petr Yan.
Former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor took to Twitter over the weekend to respond to a fan’s list of the best pure boxers in the UFC.
The list boasted current interim UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan as the top boxer in the promotion, followed by former Featherweight Champion Max Holloway, the aforementioned McGregor then Jose Aldo and Nate Diaz to round out the top five.
McGregor would respond to the list, saying he’s outboxed three of the four fighters on the list, pointing out that Yan is the lone fighter that he’s yet to face.
I outboxed 3 guys on this list! There’s no one even remotely close to my boxing in the ufc. Even Dustin only got shots off post the leg damage. Everyone has been pucked around by me if we are going off boxing. Yan is good tho, i like his style. I’d rip him up in that shell tho. https://t.co/kjB61gqFGX

Yan would then respond to ‘The Notorious One’, saying it doesn’t matter about the weight or ruleset, he’s down for the challenge.
Conor, we all know that you like to talk, but let’s get straight to the point if you really want to box or to fight, I don’t care about the weight or the ruleset. I bet you won’t show up @TheNotoriousMMA https://t.co/EJN2AbQQ32

McGregor would then oblige, saying he’s more than willing to set up a sparring session at the Crumlin Boxing Club in McGregor’s home country of Ireland.
Lol, no prob littler. We will set up a spar or something similar in the near future. Will host you and your team in Ireland for one of our shows at Crumlin boxing club. We will figure it out then, kid. God bless ya. @ParimatchGlobal, get this set.

UFC Bantamweight contender ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley would then chime-in, telling McGregor to let him worry about ‘these little dudes.’
@TheNotoriousMMA let me take care of these little dudes.

Yan recently claimed the interim Bantamweight Championship at UFC 267, two weeks ago, where he defeated Cory Sandhagen via unanimous decision while McGregor is recovering from leg surgery after suffering multiple injuries in his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, earlier this year.
O’Malley is set to face Raulian Paiva at UFC 269, next month.
