Paige VanZant Open To Fighting Ronda Rousey Under One Condition
Paige VanZant has met her own level of mainstream success in 2016, as she reached the finals of Dancing With The Stars. According to the woman herself, she's open to competing against another crossover star in former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.
VanZant spoke to TMZ ahead of her UFC on Fox main event, and brought up the idea of fighting the much larger opponent in Rousey.
“If she wants to meet at 125, (I’d fight her). I’d have to go up (from strawweight). I would consider going up to 125. It’s not that big of a weight gain for me. We’ll see if we meet at 125,” said VanZant.
Currently the UFC has no 125 pound division, but there's been a major push to create one. Rousey has never competed below bantamweight, but has been walking around much lighter than usual for her return fight at UFC 207.
VanZant will face Michelle Waterson in the main event of this weekend's UFC on Fox card, while Rousey will face Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 for the UFC Bantamweight Championship.
