One Fight Changed, Another Removed From UFC Vegas 10
Kevin Croom replaces Matt Frevola against Roosevelt Roberts at UFC Vegas 10; meanwhile a bout between Matt Schnell and Tyson Nam has been pulled from the event.
Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA first reported the Croom-Frevola-Rooberts news.
Roberts (10-2-0) has won two of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Alexander Yakovlev and Brok Weaver. Roberts has suffered two losses thus far as a professional MMA fighter and both of them came during UFC competition. Roberts also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 15, defeating Garrett Gross by second round submission.
Croom (21-12-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. Croom is the current Fight Alliance Championship featherweight champion, defeating Anderson Hutchinson at FAC 5 to win the gold. Croom has competed 33 times as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them went to the judges scorecards.
Matt Weibel of First Round Management revealed the news about Schnell and Nam on Twitter:
Matt Schnell was attempting to cut his final 2 pounds at approximately 6:30 AM, as he got off the scale he put his hands on his knees and unfortunately collapsed. When he fell, he hit his head on the scale and had symptoms of a concussion.

The fight was pulled for this reason, and he is now resting in the hospital.
He’s doing better, just disappointed.
