Late Monday night, Conor McGregor shocked the world when he announced he would be retiring from MMA. The tweet reads:
“Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.
Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!”
McGregor has teased retirement before so until enough time passes without him stepping foot in the Octagon, it’s tough to believe that this retirement will hold up.
But if the bookmakers are to be believed, McGregor is done with fighting for the time being. Bet Online released odds on McGregor’s next move, with WWE being favored to land the Irish superstar.
