NSAC Says Two Of Five Jon Jones Drug Tests Had “Adverse Findings”
The fighter has been tested a lot leading into the event and the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has released the results of five of those tests. Those findings, which were tested at the WADA lab, says that there were “adverse findings” in two of the five samples.
Here are the test and results, via MMA Junkie:
Feb. 1 (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) – No adverse analytical findings.
Feb. 9 (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, in California) – No adverse analytical findings.
Feb. 14 (Nevada State Athletic Commission) – Adverse Analytical finding. DHCMT M3 detected 40 pg/mL.
Feb. 15 (Nevada State Athletic Commission) – Adverse Analytical finding. DHCMT M3 detected 20 pg/mL.
Feb. 18 (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, in Nevada) – No adverse analytical findings.
There was another test conducted on February 23 by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), but those results haven’t been revealed at this time. Jones has still been cleared to compete at UFC 235, despite the findings in the two drug tests.
Jones has failed a multitude of drug tests before, notably before UFC 200 and in-line with UFC 214.
UFC 235 takes place on Saturday, March 2 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jon Jones and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
