Nick Roehrick Notified Of Potential USADA Violation

It would seem that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos wasn’t the only fighter to potentially fail a drug test lately.

That’s because the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has notified Nick Roehrick of a potential violation for an out of competition sample taken on August 8.

Roehrick has only competed once in the UFC thus far, suffering a third round TKO loss to Jared Cannonier at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale.

The UFC issued the following statement on the matter:

The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Nick Roehrick of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collected on August 8, 2017.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Roehrick. Under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.

It is unknown at this time what the illegal substance Roehrick had potentially failed the drug test for.

Roehrick has yet to comment on the situation and he didn’t have another fight scheduled in the UFC at this time.
