Nick Diaz Offers To Step In And Face Leon Edwards At UFC 269 | Social Media Roundup
After losing in his MMA return to Robbie Lawler just a few months ago, Nick Diaz has now offered to step in and face Leon Edwards next month at UFC 269 — this and much more on Friday’s social media roundup.
Nick Diaz offers to fight at UFC 269
Just several months ago, former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz made his MMA return where he faced Robbie Lawler.
Unfortunately for Diaz he could not make a successful return and was stopped by Lawler in the second round via TKO.
Prior to the fight in the pre-fight press conference, Diaz claimed that if he was to lose the fight against Lawler he would have more motivation to come back to the Octagon straight away.
That motivation has seemingly been shown as Diaz has just offered to step in and face Leon Edwards next month at UFC 269.
See what Diaz had to say below.

Even though Nick is game to fight Edwards, it is very unlikely that Edwards will be remaining on the UFC 269 main card despite him being fully fit and ready to go.
If the fight was to happen, do you think Diaz could shock the world and win or would it be a routine fight for Edwards?

Khamzat Chimaev targets a fight against Gilbert Burns
When the news broke that Jorge Masvidal was injured and unable to compete at UFC 269, Khamzat Chimaev was the first fighter to put his name forward to fight Leon Edwards.
That will not happen as Edwards has publicly said that he doesn’t plan on fighting on the card anymore.
Chimaev is still chasing fights and had a Twitter interaction several days ago with Gilbert Burns.
See the interaction the two welterweight contenders had below.
