New Main Event Set For Invicta FC 24

Following the removal of Tonya Evinger from the main event of next month’s Invicta FC 24 event, the promotion has announced a new main event.

Helena Kolesnyk has been removed from the card altogether, while UFC veteran Milana Dudieva faces Mara Romero Borella in the new main event.

Kolesnyk was originally set to fight Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Megan Anderson for the gold at Invicta FC 24, but Anderson got the call up to the UFC. Then Kolesnyk was set to face Invicta FC bantamweight Champion Tonya Evinger, but then she got the call up as well after Anderson was injured and off of UFC 214.

Dudieva (11-5-0) is competing for the first time since being cut by the UFC after a loss to Marion Reneau at UFC Fight Night 99. Dudieva will enter the fight on a two fight losing streak and she hasn’t earned a victory in nearly three years.

Borella (8-4-0-1NC) is going to be making her Invicta FC debut in this fight and does so on a four fight winning streak.

Invicta FC 24 takes place on Saturday, July 15 from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri with Milana Dufieva and Mara Romero Borella headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
