New Featherweight Champion To Be Crowned At LFA 79

The vacant Legacy Fighting Alliance Featherweight Title is going to be getting a new owner at LFA 79 as Tyler Diamond is going to be in action against Rafael Barbosa.

Diamond (10-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the LFA banner, having defeated Jon Neal by unanimous decision at LFA 66. Diamond competed once before in the UFC, dropping a bout to Bryce Mitchell via majority decision at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale. Diamond has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of KO/TKO.

Barbosa (12-1-0) is also undefeated in LFA competition, having defeated the two pack of Cameron Graves and Nate Jennerman. Barbosa has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Max Coga in December of 2017. Barbosa has competed a total of thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.

Legacy Fighting Alliance 79 takes place on Friday, October 11 from the Riverside Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, California with Tyler Diamond and Rafael Barbosa headlining.
