Nate Diaz vs. Anthony “Showtime” Pettis Set For UFC 241 In August
Nate Diaz is returning to the UFC Octagon — at least for now.
According to Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports, the inactive UFC superstar in Diaz is confirmed to return to the cage in August, taking on former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis. The bout is currently slated to co-main event UFC’s pay-per-view effort in Anaheim

Diaz hasn’t competed since his August 2016 loss to Conor McGregor, and hasn’t competed against anyone besides McGregor since 2015. Diaz was set to face Dustin Poirier last November before injuries forced the latter out of the bout.
Pettis has jumped weight divisions with regularity in recent years, but had a major bit of success upon joining the welterweight ranks in March, knocking out former title challenger Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.
The Diaz vs. Pettis fight joins Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier, and Yoel Romero vs. Paulo Costa for the August 17 show from the Honda Center. Fightful will have full, live coverage of UFC 241, including a live, post-show podcast.
