Myles Jury Wants Final Fight On Bellator Contract To Be Against Patricio Pitbull
Myles Jury last competed at UFC 243, scoring a split decision victory over Georgi Karakhanyan, which was his second win in Bellator competition.
The fighter has one fight left on his Bellator contract and Jury would like to work something out with the promotion so he can keep fighting there.
“I have one more fight left with Bellator on my contract,” Jury said after the event (via Nolan King & Danny Segura of MMA Junkie). “Hopefully, Bellator and my management can work something out because I feel like I fit perfectly into this 155-pound division.”
Jury holds a 2-1-0 record under the Bellator banner, with those wins coming over Brandon Girtz and the aforementioned Karakhanyan.
For his final fight on the current Bellator contract, one person that Karakhanyan would like to face is Patricio Pitbull.
“My ideal opponent would be ‘Baby Pitbull,’” Jury said. “He’s the champ – the guy I always have my eye on. And who else is left in the division? You have (Michael) Chandler and Benson (Henderson) tonight, which is a close fight. We’ll see if Chandler stays. I heard he’s a free agent after this. Maybe a No. 1 contender fight? I mean, I beat a top 10 guy – a veteran of the sport here. I already fought the No. 1 contender and had a very close fight with him. What else does Bellator want?”
Pitbull is the current Bellator lightweight and featherweight champion, plus he is currently competing in the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix.
