Mike Perry May Confront Colby Covington During UFC 245 Fight Week

Former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington challenges UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman for the gold in the main event of UFC 245.

Mike Perry, who has had issues with Covington in the past and is also competing at UFC 245, may confront the fighter during UFC 245 fight week.

“I’m going to give Covington a problem all week long,” Perry said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie). “Lets see if he’s thinking about the right things when he gets in the ring. I hope he hears about this, and if he catches sight of me, it’s on sight. I won’t be looking for him – I’ll be looking to do my own thing – but if I catch a glimpse, you know, I might sneak over. Maybe he’s looking for clout because he can’t get none with that crotch-sniffing style.”

The main issues between Covington and Perry began a while back when Covington took shots at Perry’s wife, who also serves as one of his corners for fights. There has been no physical confrontations between the two thus far, but that can all change next month at UFC 245.

UFC 245 takes place on Saturday, December 14 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kamaru Usman and Mike Perry headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
