Mighty Mouse Makes History With UFC Title Victory (With Video)
Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson successfully defended his UFC Flyweight Title against Wilson Reis in the main event of UFC On Fox 24.
It was an arm bar late in the third round that secured the victory for Johnson, putting him a victory away from breaking the record for most consecutive UFC title defenses. Johnson is now tied with former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva at ten successful title defenses.

Round Three: The round begins with Reis nailing Johnson with a kick to the midsection, the fighters also exchange leg kicks again. Johnson nails Reis with a left as he blocked the takedown, Johnson dances around Reis while peppering him with rights. Johnson continues stuffing the takedown attempts from Reis, Johnson then nails Reis with a kick to the midsection a few times. Reis just starts to swing wildly against Johnson and little lands, Johnson again kicks Reis in the midsection. Johnson cracks Reis with a right before scoring the takedown, Johnson starts attacking Reis with ground and pound. Johnson levels Reis with some elbow strikes on the ground as well, Johnson turns up the heat with the ground and pound. Johnson locks Reis in the arm bar and a tap out follows.

In a post-fight interview with Brian Stann, the champion said he would move up a weight class to fight for the UFC Bantamweight Title, but would want a million dollar payday to take the fight. Johnson is also four wins away from tying another record held by Anderson Silva, which is the most consecutive wins under the UFC banner, Silva had 16 wins in a row.
Johnson’s next opponent has yet to be announced, but Johnson has already defeated six fighters in the flyweight divisions top fifteen.
