Miesha Tate Still Not A Fan Of Ronda Rousey

Former UFC Women’s Champion Miesha Tate has been retired since a unanimous decision loss to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205.

Tate’s longtime rival is former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Roda Rousey and if the two were to cross paths again one day, the retired Tate wouldn’t even say “Hi” to her rival.

“I wouldn’t say hi to her and I doubt that she would say hi to me either,” Tate said on The MMA Hour. “I think that we would just be like ‘oh’ and walk away from each other, like, awkward.”

The two clashed twice in their careers, with Rousey winning both fights at Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey and at UFC 168.

Despite a successful professional MMA career, the former women’s bantamweight champion regrets not fighting Rousey just one more time.

“I kind of regret not being able to fight Ronda for a third time, I would have liked for that to happen,” Tate said. “But I think we’re both at different points and it didn’t. So I can’t live with it as a regret. I don’t regret losing to Ronda, it was all really good learning experiences and I learned from them earlier in my career and I was able to come back better from my losses.”

While Tate is already retired, the future of Rousey is up in the air because she hasn’t competed since a loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.
