Michelle Waterson On Dana White: “He’s Willing To Break Through Barriers” During Pandemic
Michelle Waterson is headlining UFC Vegas 10 this Saturday Night and one person expected to be in attendance on that night is UFC President Dana White.
One thing that Waterson praises White for is how the UFC President is running events during the coronavirus pandemic.
“I believe that, as a fighter, you get used to the hits you take from life and always end up looking at the bright side. I’m very grateful for having Dana White as a leader in the UFC. He’s willing to break through the barriers and is allowing us to work during these trying times. It’s fantastic that I can work during this pandemic,” Waterson said to Combate.
The UFC was the first MMA promotion stateside to run events during the pandemic, with Bellator and others following suit in the following months.
Angela Hill is Waterson’s opponent at UFC Vegas 11 and Waterson believes Hill’s heart and hunger are her strong suits.
“I believe that her hunger and heart are her strong suits, especially after a controversial loss. She was really in her moment in those last UFC fights. She’s a great striker. But I believe, I’m a better grappler when compared to her fights. I think it’s going to be a very fun fight, because we both go for it,” says Waterson.
UFC Vegas 10 is set for Saturday, September 12 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Michelle Waterson and Angela Hill headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
