Michael Page Says Dan Miragliotta Apologized For Incident At Bellator Dublin

Michael Page is back in action this weekend in the main event of Bellator London, facing Giovanni Melillo in a welterweight division affair.

The last time Page was in action was at Bellator Dublin, where he both defeated Richard Kiely and got into a verbal confrontation with referee Dan Miragliotta, a situation that Miragliotta has allegedly apologized to Page about.

“I was in New York the other day and I spoke to Dan,” Page said on Eurobash. “He came up to me and he apologized for…just the whole thing. We had a nice discussion so for me, that episode is now past; it’s old news now. That’s all I said I wanted, I wanted to have a face to face with him. All respect to him, he came up to me and we’ve squashed that. It’s just a thing of the past now.”

Miragliotta and Page’s verbal battle at Bellator Dublin took place after the ref took a point from Page during the bout for unsportsmanlike conduct, while Miragliotta also allegedly called Page a “piece of sh*t” as well.

Page now says that the situation is now behind him as the fighter moves onto the main event of Bellator London.

“For me now, it’s a full stop on the situation. I don’t care to go over specifics. That would probably keep us on bad terms because we’d probably end up disagreeing on something. I appreciate the fact that he came over and apologized for any bad blood and me feeling negative about him in any way. I just accepted that for what it is. We shook hands and we’ll move on from there,” says Page.

Bellator London takes place on Saturday, November 23 from the SSE Arena in London, England with Michael Page and Giovanni Mellilo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on the Bellator App.
