Michael Bisping Wants Conor McGregor To Lose The Chip On His Shoulder

Former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor caused quite the scene recently when he and friends attacked a bus full of UFC competitors days before UFC 223.

Michael Bisping is a former UFC Middleweight Champion and when the Brit looks at the Irishman, one request that the fighter would make is for McGregor to remove the chip from his shoulder.

“Just lose the chip, that would be my advice,” said Bisping on Believe You Me. “Just lose the f**king chip on the shoulder, man. It’s made me realize as well, cause I’ve got a good life. I’m very, very lucky. I thought about this. You see Conor going out there and doing this like, ‘What the hell are you doing? Why would you behave like that?’ Look at everything he has going for him. People would literally kill to be in his position. People dream of being in that position and now he’s in that position and he’s going out there and acting like that. He’s only letting himself down.”

McGregor has turned himself into authorities for the attack and has been released on bail, but has yet to face any punishment from the UFC.

Bisping doesn’t understand why McGregor chose to attack the bus last Thursday, especially with all that McGregor has accomplished over the years.

“I’m not trying to throw him under a bus and I don’t need to because the world is doing that,” said Bisping. “The world is judging him. I can’t say anything, I’ve made my fair mistakes over the years. Never to that extent but I’ve certainly done things I regret. But when you look at the situation and you look at Conor McGregor, here’s a guy who quite literally has the world at his feet. He’s got untold wealth. He’s absolutely f**king loaded. He could never work another day in his life and he’d live a very, very extravagant lifestyle. He’s been a world champion. He’s super successful in his chosen career. He’s got over $100 million. People love him. Rightly or wrongly, everywhere he goes, people love him. He’s got a beautiful fiancée at home. He’s got a child. He’s got every reason to go through this life happy. Happy, with a smile on his face.”

The attack did cause the cancellation of three bouts for the UFC 223 card, plus flyweight fighter Ray Borg and lightweight competitor Michael Chiesa suffered injuries during the altercation.
