Michael Bisping Predicts That Conor McGregor Will Never Fight Khabib Nurmagomedov
UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping is preparing to defend his title against former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre later this year.
The middleweight champion now predicts that Conor Mcgregor would never face Khabib Nurmagomedov, especially after his weight cutting failure at UFC 209.
“One million per cent, it KILLS his chances of ever fighting Conor and it puts the UFC in a very difficult position,” Bisping said on the Believe You Me podcast. “If they make that rematch between Khabib and Tony, and Khabib wins, there is no way Conor is going to accept that because he is going to say, ‘I’m not going to take that risk of having an entire fight camp for him not to make it to the Octagon so I’m not going to do it’.”
It wasn’t the first time that Nurmagomedov missed weight during his UFC tenure, which has been marred by injuries more than anything else.
Tony Ferguson, whom Nurmagomedov was supposed to fight at UFC 209, is willing to fight Nurmagomedov again. However, before that fight would even take place, Ferguson would want Nurmagomedov to agree to a list of demands to ensure that there would be a fight between the two.
