Michael Bisping Predicts That Alexander Gustafsson Would Beat Luke Rockhold
Rumors have started surfacing saying that former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold and Alexander Gustafsson could fight for the vacant UFC Interim Light Heavyweight Title later this year.
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping has fought Rockhold twice before, suffering a loss to him at UFC Fight Night 55 and then defeating him at UFC 199.
One thing Bisping is willing to do is challenge the winner of that potential bout at light heavyweight, which he revealed via Twitter:
Honestly………… I don’t know. But, I hear the last person I knocked out may be fighting for an interim belt. If he wins I’m in. I’m 225 right now and pretty ripped. Never making 185 again. https://t.co/OWz2gxfSUZ

Then Bisping predicted a winner of the potential title bout, which was also done via Twitter:
If you believe the internet. I’d love either. I really would. FYI, @AlexTheMauler smashes @LukeRockhold , I mean totally destroys him https://t.co/3cxYsV9ycz

The possible reason behind an interim light heavyweight title bout is that champion Daniel Cormier is challenging UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic for the gold at UFC 226. Which means there is a chance the light heavyweight strap wouldn’t get defended until the end of 2018 at the earliest.
Bisping has previously stated that his next bout could serve as his final Octagon appearance, but there is no word yet on when that fight could happen.
