Maycee Barber Undergoes Knee Surgery, Full Recovery Expected In 9 Months
Maycee Barber was last seen in action at UFC 246, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Roxanne Modafferi. A loss wasn’t the only thing that Barber suffered at the event, as the fighter also suffered a complete ACL tear as well.
The fighter is now on the road to recovery, as Brett Okamoto of ESPN revealed that Barber has undergone knee surgery to repair the damage and the recovery time is expected to be nine months.
Barber also took to Instagram to comment on the surgery and what’s next:
A recovering Barber is sitting at #9 in the UFC Women’s Flyweight Division rankings and she holds a 3-1-0 record in the promotion (8-1-0 overall), with those wins coming over Hannah Cifers, JJ Aldrich and Gillian Robertson.
