Luke Rockhold Questions David Branch’s Confidence
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold will headline UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh against David Branch.
While Rockhold enters his fights with a lot of confidence, the fighter isn’t so sure Branch is the same way.
“Branch is a good fighter, I think he just questions himself,” Rockhold said on The MMA Hour. “You can’t question yourself at this level. I’m going to eat him up. I’m going to push him to that breaking point, and he’s going to feel the pressure. He can’t keep up with me. You can’t think you’re going to do something. You have to know. I see Branch, he questions himself. He’s good everywhere, he’s a third-degree black belt, he’s a decent boxer, but there’s questions in his head, and it’s time for me to go make those a little more doubtful as the rounds go on.”
Branch has found a lot of success outside of the UFC, as the fighter held the World Series Of Fighting Light Heavyweight & Middleweight Titles simultaneously.
Even though the middleweight division has been in chaos since he lost the gold, the former champion knows he can only control what is in front of him.
“I can only control what’s ahead of me, and that’s Sept. 16. I’m going to go do my job and put myself in line,” says Rockhold.
UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh takes place on Saturday, September 16 from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Luke Rockhold and David Branch headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
