Lightweight Fight Added To UFC Fight Night 106
A lightweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 106 card as #13 Francisco Trinaldo takes on Kevin Lee.
Trinaldo (21-4-0) will be entering the fight on a seven fight winning streak, with the most notable wins coming over Norman Parke, Ross Pearson, Yancy Medeiros and Paul Felder. Trinaldo has only suffered a single defeat in the last three years, that loss came to Michael Chiesa at UFC 173. Trinaldo’s seven fight winning streak is the longest of his professional MMA career, before that, his longest winning streak totaled six fights altogether.
Lee (14-2-0) will be entering the fight on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating Efrain Escudero, Jake Matthews and Magomed Mustafaev. Lee has only suffered a pair of defeats in his three years in the UFC, with those two losses coming to the duo of Al Iaquinta and Leonardo Santos. Lee started off his professional MMA career with a seven fight undefeated streak, which included a win over Bellator MMA veteran JP Reese.
UFC Fight Night 106 takes place on Saturday, March 11 from the Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil with Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort headlining, the main card airs live on Fox Sports 1.
