Lightweight Action Added To UFC 211
A lightweight division affair is the latest addition to the upcoming UFC 211 card as Jared Gordon will see action against Michael Quinones.
Gordon (12-1-0) will be making his UFC debut in this fight, and is doing so while on the strength of a three fight winning streak. Gordon has already held two championships in his career, as the fighter has held the Cage Fury Fighting Championships Lightweight Title and the Duelo De Giagantes Lightweight Title. Gordon also appeared on the “Dana White’s Lookin’ For A Fight” reality show. His lone loss came to Bellator MMA veteran Jeff Lentz.
Quinones (8-1-0) will also be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is doing so while on a five fight winning streak. Quinones also competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, dropping a fight to Brandon Girtz at Bellator 80. Quinones is also a veteran of the Titan Fighting Championships, where he defeated Caio Uruguai Rocha by unanimous decision at Titan FC 43.
UFC 211 takes place on Saturday, May 13 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
