LFA 64 Main Event Now For The Vacant Lightweight Title
Harvey Park and Demarques Jackson were supposed to battle for the vacant interim lightweight title in the main event of Legacy Fighting Alliance 64, but the stakes have now gotten even higher. That’s because the bout will now be for the vacant LFA Lightweight Title, which was vacated when then champion Austin Hubbard signed with the UFC earlier this year.
Park (11-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, having defeated the duo of Leville Simpson and Jaleel Willis. Park has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those victories have come by way of KO/TKO. Park also picked up five wins as an amateur MMA competitor, while also winning the South Plains MMA Lightweight Title in October of 2013.
Jackson (10-2-0) enters the contest while riding a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Hamilton Ash, Bryce Logan and Bobby Lee. Jackson has seen five of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter has picked up wins in four of those encounters. Jackson hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year and that last loss came against Beibit Nazarov at Titan FC 47.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 64 takes place on Friday, April 26 from the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with Harvey Park and Demarques Jackson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
