Leonard Ellerbe Says Mayweather Prepared For McGregor’s Style

Leonard Ellerbe in the CEO of Mayweather Promotions and he has been with Floyd Mayweather throughout the whole build to the super fight with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

When it comes to the awkward style of the UFC Lightweight Champion, the Mayweather Promotions CEO says that Mayweather is ready.

“I think he brings a lot of things to the fight,” Ellerbe told Fight Hub TV. “He has an awkward style that is kinda difficult to prepare for, and he’s very strong. He has great timing. I’m impressed. You gotta respect the guy. When he says he’s gonna do something, he’s been doing it. He’s not gonna do that to Floyd Mayweather, but he’s been able to do that.”

McGregor’s awkward style may be his biggest advantage in the fight, as he enters the fight making his professional boxing debut and Mayweather is fighting for the fiftieth time.

The UFC Lightweight Champion has been bringing in some top notch sparring partners to help prepare him for the super fight, with the most notable of them all being Paulie Malignaggi.

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
