Lance Armstrong Takes Shot At Jeff Novitzky, Cormier Ties It To Jones & Novitzky Responds

The UFC recently changed the location of this weekends UFC 232 card from Las Vegas, Nevada to Inglewood, California after the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) found an abnormality in Jon Jones drug test.

UFC Executive Jeff Novitzky has spoken out in defense of Jones, saying the substance found in the fighter’s test was smaller than a grain of salt. Lance Armstrong, a cyclist who had run ins with Novitzky, would post the following comment on Joe Rogan’s Instagram page after Rogan announced that Novitzky was going to appear on his podcast:

“AKA the Star F***er. Couple of questions. Why the double standard for Jones and others? And let’s get right to it, what does the science and scientists say? I think I know the answer, but let’s let the star f***er speak to it.”

Two division UFC champion Daniel Cormier, who’ll be giving up his light heavyweight title this weekend once the main event fight begins, would also take to Instagram to tie what Armstrong wrote to Jones:

Jones has previously failed two drug tests, with one coming before UFC 200 and the other in line with UFC 214.

A short time after Armstrong said what he said about Novitzky, a response would be issued by the UFC Executive during a media session ahead of UFC 232:

“Lance Armstrong is probably one of the biggest frauds and cheats in professional sports. He’s out there making judgments — I think he’s the least credible guy to make those types of judgments. These same experts that are doing these studies and putting out these facts are the ones that basically exposed him as the biggest fraud in sports. So in my mind, that guy has no credibility to say whatever he wants to say. I don’t pay him any attention.”

UFC 232 takes place n Saturday, December 29 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
