Kron Gracie Believes He Won At UFC Fight Night Tampa

Kron Gracie and Cub Swanson competed in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night Tampa, with Swanson scoring a unanimous decision victory on that night.

However, if there is one fighter who disagrees with the result of that fight, it would be the loser of that bout in Gracie.

Gracie let his feelings be known through a now deleted Instagram post (which you can view by clicking here), which featured the caption “I WON THAT FIGHT.”

The judges scored the bout 30-27, 30-27 and 30-27 in favor on Swanson, meaning not one of the three judges even scored a single round in favor of Gracie. The bout was also the first professional MMA defeat for Gracie, who was 5-0-0 before UFC Fight Night Tampa.

There is no word yet if Gracie or his team plans on appealing the loss or if they will call for a rematch against the victorious Swanson. The bout was mainly contested on the feet, where it appeared that Swanson out struck Gracie, while Gracie was unsuccessful in getting Swanson to the ground, where he is strongest.

Swanson, with the victory, ended a four fight losing streak, with the last win before UFC Tampa coming at UFC Fight Night 108 in April of 2017.
