Khabib Nurmagomedov Discusses His Dislike Of Conor McGregor’s Use Of Foul Language
Nurmagomedov sounds off.
On October 6th the anticipated UFC Lightweight Championship bout between the champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and the current UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The UFC recently held a press conference at Radio City Music Hall to promote the fight and it was one that featured only the press and media as no fans were allowed in the building.
Prior to the conference commencing, McGregor relayed a message to his fans which entailed that anyone who purchased his new Whiskey product would be allowed into the press conference but ultimately no one was allowed in and Conor criticized the UFC for that. During the McGregor and Nurmagomedov press conference, Conor stated that his Whiskey product will be an official sponsor of the UFC and added that the brand’s graphic will on the mat in the octagon like Nurmagomedov’s blood will be. All the talking will soon come to an end on October 6th as it will be time for the two men to clash and ahead of the bout, TMZ Sports caught up with the UFC Lightweight Champion and he stated that despite all of the commotion surrounding he and Conor’s fight, the one thing that he is not too fond of is McGregor’s use of foul language.
“The press conference you know, I feel like they tried to promote this alcohol [Conor’s whiskey] and I feel like… I feel good you know.” Nurmagomedov said. “I feel good but, this is what I don’t like when [there’s] too much cursing. I [do not] curse because too many young guys follow us, follow him, follow me and I don’t want to be [a] bad example for [the] young generation. I don’t want [that], and we cannot be bad people for [the] young generation. Of course, you try to promote this fight, make money but [at] the end of the day, think about the young generation. Too many people watching us and… I don’t wanna talk about him, I want to talk about me. I wanna be good but I know it’s very hard – nobody’s perfect, everybody makes mistakes but I want to be [a] good [role] model. I want to be a good [role] model for the young generation.” He concluded.
