Khabib Nurmagomedov A 2-1 Favorite Over Conor McGregor In Early UFC 229 Betting Odds
The UFC Lightweight Title is going to be on the line this October at UFC 229 when champion Khabib Nurmagomedov defends the gold against former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor.
Early betting odds have been released for the encounter, with the champion being a 2-1 favorite over the challenger. Best Fight Odds lists Nurmagomedov as a -205 favorite, while the challenger in McGregor is listed as a +167 underdog.
That would mean that a bet of $100 on Nurmagomedov will bring a net profit of $48.78 with a win, while a bet of $100 on McGregor would bring a net profit of $167 with him winning. It should be noted that the odds can and probably will change multiple times before the bout happens.
McGregor is returning to action for the first time in almost two years, with his last bout coming against former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205. Nurmagomedov was last seen competing at UFC 223, where he defeated Al Iaquinta to become the UFC Lightweight Champion.
UFC 229 takes place on Saturday, October 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
