Ken Shamrock fully believes that if he and Brock Lesnar were to have a fight in their respective primes, Shamrock would come out on top.
In an interview with Hannibal TV, Shamrock said in a fight between a striker such as Shamrock and a wrestler such as Lesnar, the striker would win because of a higher skill set, according to Shamrock.
"Being able to fight a guy like Brock Lesnar who is a wrestler, who has very limited skills in striking, in my prime and him in his prime, he doesn't have a chance," Shamrock said. "How can you beat me? You can't beat me. If I'm in my prime and I have all those skill sets, and in his prime, he was very limited in his skill sets, how can you beat me? I've captured every title there is in the world that I've competed in. I've always risen to the top and become the guy. The only one I haven't done that was in pro wrestling, the WWF. I captured Tag Team, Intercontinental, Rookie Of The Year, King Of The Ring, everything but the heavyweight title. I would hope that somewhere down the road all the differences would be but aside, and allow me to come back and at least get a shot at the heavyweight title, and I hope Brock Lesnar has it cause I'd like to come after him."
Both Shamrock and Lesnar are former champions in the UFC. Shamrock is a former UFC Superfight Champion and one of the original UFC Hall of Famers. Shamrock wrestled for WWE from 1997-99, when he was a former Intercontinental champion.
Lesnar, one of the most accomplished college wrestlers in NCAA heavyweight history, also ascended to the top of the UFC's heavyweight division after his first run with WWE ended. It only took Lesnar three MMA fights (two in the UFC) before getting a UFC Heavyweight title shot where Lesnar beat Randy Couture at UFC 91, becoming the first man to win the WWE Championship and a UFC Championship.
