Karolina Kowalkiewicz Wants Jessica Andrade Next
Karolina Kowalkiewicz is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Jodie Esquibel in the main event of UFC Fight Night Gdansk.
The Polish fighter is already thinking of her future plans and that includes a fight with Jessica Andrade.
“Now I need a vacation,” Kowalkiewicz said at the post-fight press conference. “And after that I want to fight with Jessica Andrade. For the future Jessica Andrade said I declined a fight with her. However, that never happened, and I was never offered a fight with Jessica, so this time, let’s just do it now, if you’re open to do it.”
Andrade last competed at UFC Fight Night Japan, where she earned a decision win over Claudia Gadelha.
Kowalkiewicz ended a two fight losing streak at UFC Fight Night Gdansk and despite the losing streak, says she felt no pressure in the fight.
“I never feel pressure before the fight because I love what I do,” Kowalkiewicz said. “I never feel pressure in the fight, it’s what I love to do. I feel pressure when I’m on diet and can’t eat cookies.”
If the battle between Kowalkiewicz and Andrade were to come together, then it would be a battle of top five ranked female strawweight fighters.
