Kai Kara-France Claims Max Holloway Is Defending Title At UFC 245

Kai Kara-France was last seen in action at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen, scoring a unanimous decision win over Mark De La Rosa

A victorious Kara-France would appear on the UFC Fight Night Shenzhen post-fight show and while calling out Alexandre Pantoja, may have let it slip that UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway could be defending the gold against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 245.

“I see Alex Volkanovski’s fighting Max Holloway in Vegas. If that Melbourne fight doesn’t happen, maybe we can do it in Vegas,” Kara-France said on the post-fight show (via MMA Junkie).

It should be noted that neither the UFC, Holloway or Volkanovski have confirmed that a featherweight title bout is going to be happening at UFC 245. Holloway was last seen defending his title in the main event of UFC 240, defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar by unanimous decision

There has already been one title bout announced for the UFC 245 card, as Amanda Nunes is defending the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title against Germaine De Randamie

UFC 245 takes place on Saturday, December 14 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
