Junior Dos Santos Wants Francis Ngannou Next
If it were up to JDS, it would be another streaking heavyweight in Francis Ngannou who would be his next opponent.
“I think that would be great,” Dos Santos said on the UFC Wichita post-fight show (via Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting). “It should have happened in the past, but something weird happened. Maybe now, it can happen.”
Ngannou was last seen in action at UFC Fight Night Phoenix, defeating former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez by first round knockout.
JDS has picked up the majority of his professional MMA wins by KO/TKO, which is the way the competitor prefers to fight.
“I see the takedowns, I see the opportunities to take people down or even try to submit them or something like that,” Dos Santos said. “But man, I prefer to stay on my feet. That way I’m confident. I really believe I can knock anyone out in this world. And I have the power for that. So I stick on this. On the knockout.”
There has been no response from Ngannou at this time when it relates to the challenge from Dos Santos.
