Junior Dos Santos vs. Francis Ngannou At UFC 215
A huge heavyweight division attraction is potentially taking place at UFC 215 as #4 Junior Dos Santos is going to be in action against #5 Francis Ngannou.
Dos Santos (18-5-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last eight UFC appearances, with his last bout being a loss to UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 211. Dos Santos is also a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, having defeated Cain Velasquez at UFC On Fox 1 to win the gold. Dos Santos would be competing for the second time in 2017, which means it is going to be the first time since 2013 that he fought more than once in a calendar year.
Ngannou (10-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Luis Henrique, Curtis Blaydes, Bojan Mihajlovic, Anthony Hamilton and Andrei Arlovski. Ngannou has already competed five times in the UFC and none of those fights have gone past the second round. Ngannou has only suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter, with that loss coming to Zoumana Cisse at 100% Fight Contenders 21 in 2013.
UFc 215 takes place on Saturday, September 9 from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
