Jon Jones Apologizes To Journalist He Disrespected

Jon Jones recaptured the UFC Light Heavyweight Title in the main event of UFC 232, defeating Alexander Gustafsson by third round TKO.

The newly crowned champion had some negative things to say to journalist Izabelle Kostic at the UFC 232 pre-fight press conference, but Jones has now apologized for that negativity.

“Sister here with the camera, I was extremely disrespectful to you and I’m sincerely sorry,” Jones said at the UFC 232 post-fight press conference. “I was ready to fight and I felt maybe a little of an attack, and I was not in the mood to lose. I was just not in the mood to lose, not even a verbal argument. I’m so sorry for disrespecting you.”

Kostic would take to Twitter a short time later to express her gratitude to an apologizing Jones:

A lot of questions for Jones leading into UFC 232 had to due with an abnormality discovered in a drug test by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), which caused the event to be moved from Las Vegas to Inglewood.
