Joe Lauzon Battling Clay Guida At UFC Fight Night Norfolk
A lightweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night Norfolk card as Joe Lauzon is going to be in action against Clay Guida.
Lauzon (27-13-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last eight UFC appearances, with his last bout being a loss to Stevie Ray at UFC Fight Night 108. Lauzon also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 5, losing to Manny Gamburyan in the semi-finals of the reality show. Three of Lauzon’s last five wins have come over TUF alumni, those TUF are Diego Sanchez, Mac Danzig and Michael Chiesa.
Guida (33-17-0) has been undefeated since returning to the lightweight division, having defeated Erik Koch at UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City. Guida won three of seven fights during his stint at featherweight, with those three wins coming over Hatsu Hioki, Tatsuya Kawajiri and Robbie Peralta. Guida has seen his last four wins come by way of decision, the last time he got a finish in a fight was a submission win over Takanori Gomi at UFC 125.
UFC Fight Night Norfolk takes place on Saturday, November 11 from the Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Virginia with Dustin Poirier and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
