Jiri Prochazka Wants His First Title Defence To Be Against Glover Teixeira | Social Media Roundup
The recently crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka has revealed who he wants his first defence of his title to be against — this and much more in Monday’s Social Media Roundup.
Jiri Prochazka reveals who he wants his first title defence to be against
Last month at UFC 275, Jiri Prochazka became the new UFC light heavyweight champion when he spectacularly submitted Glover Teixeira in the fifth round in what was a fight of the year contender.
The light heavyweight division is currently quite weak and there are very few fighters in the division which seem like legitimate challengers to Prochazka’s title.
The two fighters who probably threaten Prochazka’s reign the most are the man who he has just defeated Glover Teixeira and Magomed Ankalaev.
Earlier today Prochazka took to social media to reveal who he wants to make the first defence of his light heavyweight title against.
Check out the video below to see what Prochazka had to say.

In the video, Prochazka reveals he wants to defend his title against the man he took it from, Glover Teixeira because he believes he deserves it.
This is a fight which every MMA fan would love to see again as not only was the fight between them at UFC 275 one of the best fights in the history of the light heavyweight division, but because it is a genuinely exciting and intriguing matchup.
Obviously there is currently no timeframe for when the fight would take place but it is clear that both fighters are keen for it to happen.

At UFC 276 Alexander Volkanovski produced the best performance of his career when he dominated and outclassed Max Holloway for five whole rounds to retain his UFC featherweight title.
After the fight, when walking to his locker room, Volkanovski revealed to his corner that in the second round he broke his hand.
Volkanovski has now shared the image of the x-ray of his hand following the fight.

The fact that Volkanovski suffered this injury and still managed to dominate the fight shows exactly why he is arguably the best pound for pound fighter on the planet today.
Urijah Faber unhappy with the UFC’s treatment of Josh Emmett
The weekend before UFC 276, Josh Emmett won a close split decision fight against Calvin Kattar.
Emmett winning this fight meant that he would put himself in a good position to challenge for the featherweight title next.
Watch the video below to see why Emmett’s teammate Urijah Faber is unhappy with the way Emmett has been treated since his win over Kattar.
“Dana, I hope you see this”: @UrijahFaber is peeved by UFC’s treatment of Josh Emmett at #UFC276.
