Jiri Prochazka returns to the Czech Republic after capturing the UFC light heavyweight title

This past weekend at UFC 275 we witnessed a fight of the year contender and an absolute slugfest between Glover Teixeira and Jiri Prochazka.

The fight was incredible from start to finish with both men getting rocked on multiple occasions, some incredible reversals on the ground from both men as well as some incredibly low fight IQ moments from both fighters.

In the end it was Prochazka who picked up the win via rear naked choke in the fifth round which many people believed to be probably the least likely outcome of the fight due to Teixeira being one of the best BJJ artists in MMA.

This win by Prochazka was monumental. He becomes the first ever Czech fighter to win a UFC belt and the first man to ever submit Glover Teixeira in his professional MMA career which has gone on for over 20 years.

Earlier this morning, Prochazka returned to the Czech Republic and as you would expect, he was given an incredible welcome home by his fellow Czech citizens.

Check out the video of Prochazka being admired and cheered on in his hometown of Brno below.

The scenes in the Czech Republic were incredible and you can only imagine how much of a legend Prochazka will become in his country if he goes on to defend the belt several times.
