Jan Blachowicz Calls Out Anthony Smith

Jan Blachowicz was last seen in action at UFC Fight Night Prague, suffering a third round TKO loss to Thiago Santos.

Anthony Smith last competed at UFC 235, suffering a unanimous decision defeat to UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.

With both fighters coming off main event losses, it would seem natural to pair them together in a future fight.

That may be exactly what Blachowicz is think, as he recently challenged Smith to a fight via Twitter:

I hear that @lionheartasmith wants a rematch with Jon Jones. Everyone knows it ain’t gonna happen soon dude. Rooster is set for now. I’m free, you’re free – let’s —-. We both have something to prove. @danawhite

Smith has yet to respond to the challenge laid out by Blachowicz, as both fighters competed less than a month ago. Smith also sits at #4 in the UFC Light Heavyweight Division rankings, while Blachowicz resides at #5, meaning a bout between the two could be in the cards in the near future.

In an interesting side note, both fighters recent opponents in Jones and Santos could be on a collision course, especially if UFC President Dana White gets his wish.
